Students are required to complete a Reflection Paper in this course. It is worth 35% of the final grade. It is NOT a research paper, RATHER IT IS A REFLECTION OF HOW YOU VIEW THE STUDY OF PSYCHOLOGY’ AND THE ROLE IT PLAYS IN YOUR LIFE. Each student is required to write about how psychology has, is, and may continue to influence his/her journey through the life span, which includes physical, cognitive, social/ emotional and personality traits.
YOU MAY MAKE A VIDEO, SLIDE PRESENTATION OR WRITE A PAPER. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO USE YOU SKILLS. USE A MEDIAN THAT IS FAMILIAR TO YOU.
ANOTHER GROUP IDENTIFIED AND POSTED A YOUTUBE, WHICH DESCRIBE THE BRAIN AND ITS PARTS AND THEIR FUNCTION IN SIMPLE, EASY TO UNDERSTAND “LANGUAGE’
IF you choose to write a paper, I suggest you use your Introduction Paper as your foundation, incorporate the material we have covered in this course to that work, thus creating a Reflection with life examples to show knowledge of the concepts in this course.
Using yourself as the subject, show how you can best use psychology to understand why you think, feel and act as you do, as described our text, Exploring Psychology; (p.1, Myers, 2016)
WHATEVER METHOD YOU CHOOSE TO PRESENT, IT WILL REQUIRE A BIBLIOGRAPHY. USE OUR TEXT AND OTHER ONLINE SOURCES TO SUPPORT WHAT YOU DO. IT IS 35% OF THE GRADE FOR THE ASSIGNMENT. PLEASE REFER TO THE RUBRIC, WHICH I HAVE POSTED IN WEEK 2 OF OUR MOODLE SITE.
It would be beneficial to look at the titles of the chapters and, using those titles, write your reflection. The foundation for this paper is self-reflection, supported by information in jargon associated with the study of psychology. This can be a very interesting assignment and is not meant to trigger any unpleasant thoughts from your past. Whatever you write is strictly confidential.
