Women in Art History: Please take some time to research the life and work of one Georgia O’Keeffe. Write an essay discussing how the artist’s work relates to the artistic movements of her time. Include how gender impeded artistic careers in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and whether you think that female artist are equally represented in art historical scholarship as their male contemporaries.
Note: Remember to include at least ten or more terms in your minimum one-page critique in order to display what you’ve learned so far. 10 terms (used correctly) = 10pts. Please review the rubric for this assignment before you begin working.
