The paper must significantly engage course texts and can be based in part on two or more interviews conducted by students along with any other ethnographic fieldwork. Draw on non-assigned, peer-reviewed sources from anthropology or sociology (or another social science like psychology or economics) in addition to the class assignments. This is a research paper that can also incorporate ethnographic elements. Please see the writing assignment rubric on BB (and below) for more info on assessment. And note that you are responsible for developing your own research topic and question on something you’d like to know more about.
