This essay is to be limited to 3 pages, therefor I am looking for a lot of specific information, not a lot of description (fluff). Think about the topics covered in the unit that you find most significant and interesting (topics include religion, politics, lifestyle, gender, entertainment, etc). These are topics that relate to the different stylistic periods and cultures and you must be able to reference examples of art from the different styles/cultures/locations covered. A stylistic period/culture is not a topic.
Your response essay should be organized as follows:
Brief introduction of unit content/topics covered
Introduce topic #1 and describe how it relates to the different time periods/locations covered in the units. Use a variety of examples of art to support – you only need to identify how the object relates to the topic – you do not need to describe the objects in great detail. Do try to use as many specific vocabulary terms, names, dates, events, etc. as possible.
Introduce topic #2 and do the same
Introduce topic #3 and do the same
If you have room for a 4th topic, do the same.
Brief concluding paragraph
