This is an advanced practice policy paper. I have to analyze the NANN position statement and its impact on the advanced practice rn (nurse practitioner). I currently work in an urban metropolitan area where marijuana use is on the rise. The hospital I work at currently does not allow mothers who smoke marijuana to provide thier breastmilk to their infants. Premature infants are offered an alternative to use donor breast milk but full term babies are only provided with formula.
